Pueblo Mesa Pole Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris)
HEIRLOOM pole bean that originally came from the Prince family, who were Slovenian immigrants to Pueblo Colorado in the early 1900s. Maintained by Dick Valent in Boulder, who grew them for 40+ years. When he passed them to us he said “I believe these beans are a treasure and would like to place them in good hands where they might have a future”. Beautiful marbled purple and green, flat, meaty, near stringless pods. Eat fresh or dry. Plant spacing 5-6”, trellising recommended. Grown by Pueblo Seed. Certified Organic. 65 days.
